The program is aimed at training highly qualified specialists able to speak both English and Russian and provides a depth of comprehensive knowledge in the field of methods of teaching English and Russian.

The program is focused on the development of professional skills in teaching English and Russian and involves the development of abilities to carry out organizational and managerical, scientific and pedagogical and pedagogical activities.

Graduates of the master's program «English and Russian language» are trained to work as:

- A foreign language teacher in different types of educational organizations;

- A research worker at various types of research institutions;

- A methodologist of scientific and educational centers for training and retraining of a foreign language teacher;

- A specialist of additional education institutions.

The program is unique in that it involves the use of active and interactive forms of conducting lessons (seminars, discussions, business and role-playing games, trainings, student research and international webinars) in combination with extracurricular activities organized with the use of authentic media resources, e-learning system, a database of global information and communication portals and other features of modern information technologies.

The programme aims to develop students' personal qualities, as well as to form the competencies in accordance with international requirements for training teachers. It is intended to:

- prepare leaders of international education who aspire to pursue building an international community of high school teachers,

- prepare leaders in international education with the opportunities for professional development throughout life,

Perm State Humanitarian and Pedagogical University is one of 50 Universities in the world that is officially authorized to provide Master's programmes, with the issuance of an international certificate "IB DP Educator Certificate in Teaching and Learning" (Certificate is issued by the organization of the International Baccalaureate in the USA). The programme is becoming increasingly popular among universities in the world. Most universities are located in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada. There are universities in Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, and Turkey.

The programme is aimed at training teachers of various subjects of high school. Graduates of the programme become international teachers recognized by the international community with high academic mobility.

Much attention is paid to professional English. The IB Educator Certificate in Teaching and Learning gives you the opportunity to:

"Therapy of Communicative and Speech Disorders of Children with Special Educational Needs"

Programme overview:
The program is designed for students who want to pursue professional careers in helping children with all forms of communicative, language and speech pathology in private practice and in institutions of various fields - educational, medical, and social. The content of units and practices is based on the best world experience. The program considers features of communication and speech disorders of children with motor, intellectual, sensory disorders (hearing, vision, severe and multiple developmental disorders) from the perspective of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems and the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health. Methods of prevention and treatment of communicative and speech disorders are also be considered from the perspective of these international documents, including the use of alternative and additional communication (AAC). Much attention is paid to the adaptation of the language environment to the child's communicative abilities (Braille, Sign language, PECS, MACATON, etc.).

The competencies obtained during the development of this program extend to the following areas:

- expert diagnosis and therapy of communicative developmental disorders;

- expert work in the diagnostic prevention of children's communicative and speech disorders;

- own scientific and practical activities;

- leading scientific and practical activities.


At the end of the program students submit and present the research work.


Students in this Master's program will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the best Russian and foreign practices in the field of detection and treatment of children`s communicative and speech disorders from the perspective of an interdisciplinary approach, as the program is implemented with the participation of the best domestic and foreign experts in the field of children`s communicative and speech disorders. Practical experience in the sphere of child communication will be obtained by participation in practice and internships in educational institutions, and health care and social protection organizations (both in the Russian Federation and in other countries). The Master's programme "World Arts" considers fundamental aspects of classical and contemporary art, as well as develops practical skills in working with artworks. The combination of theoretical and practical knowledge carried out within the framework of this programme, opens up the opportunity to work in museums and art galleries, and to implement the experience gained in practice, for example by conducting educational art projects.

The programme includes both historical and theoretical studies, and fieldwork in the cultural space of Perm, in collaboration with Perm museums, galleries and theaters, as well as with active participation in international festivals of Perm Krai ("Flahertiana", "Perm Period. New Time", "Камwa", "Call of Parma", etc.). The learning process emphasizes the importance of art and the experience it brings for a modern person in the context of intercultural interaction. The Master's programme is based on courses in general English and English for specific purposes, History of Art and World Culture, Philosophy of Art, as well as courses developed by leading University scientists in Aesthetics and Art business, Modern cultural processes, Practice of interpreting works of art, and Academic writing.


The Master's programme "World Arts" assumes a high level of training for students and includes both theory and fieldwork in leading culturally oriented organizations. Our partners are:

- Perm State Art Gallery, which has a rich exhibition fund, consisting of masterpieces of Russian and Western European art (I.A. Aivazovsky, A.I. Repin, K.S. Petrov-Vodkin, N.S. Goncharova, Guido Reni, J. Jordaens, E.M. Falcone);

- PERMM Museum of Modern Art, which implements a number of projects of international level;

- Flahertiana International Documentary Film Festival, which includes screenings, discussions and meetings with film directors from around the world;

The knowledge of Art criticism and Aestetic concepts gained in the process of learning can be used in the pedagogical process by implementing new methods of art education. It emphasizes possibilities of the therapeutic function of art and aesthetic experience, allowing a modern person to engage in multicultural dialogue.

Promising areas of research include:

- methodological development of the language of non-classical aesthetics;

- analysis of the cultural and anthropological matrix in the context of the implementation of the aesthetic ability of man in the modern world;

About The Polyglot-Profi Department:

Since 1998, the Polyglot-Profi Department has been providing educational courses at Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University, which implements additional professional education courses, as well as general development courses for studying foreign languages.

Professional retraining courses include the study of general theoretical disciplines, special disciplines of a practical orientation, and practical training. These courses are intended for those who seek to increase their professional competence in the field of foreign languages and get additional qualifications that allow them to combine their special knowledge and translation or pedagogical skills according to professional interests. A diploma of professional retraining is issued to the graduates at the end of the course, which gives the right to start practice according to the qualifications received.

Also, at the Polyglot-Profi branch, everyone is given the opportunity to study foreign languages (English, German, French) based on effective teaching methods. At the end of the course, students receive a certificate confirming the level of foreign language proficiency.

The German language centre of Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University is an official partner of the German cultural centre named after Goethe (Moscow) in the field of youth exams.

We are the only certified examination center of Goethe Institute in Perm Krai.

Currently we there are 9 members of teaching staff in our team, three of them are methodologists and animators of the German Cultural Center named after Goethe (Moscow). The center has 5 certified examiners of the Goethe German Cultural Center (Munich, Germany). All teachers are constantly participating in further training courses.

Russian as a foreign language
The programme allows you to:

The Polyglot-Profi Educational Center allows learning Russian from the very basis or from any level for those who need conversational skills for education, work or leisure. Studying Russian in a linguistic environment provides a number of undeniable advantages, as it allows you to apply the rules you study and develop communication skills in practice every day.

Classes are taught by teachers with experience in teaching Russian as a foreign language. Thanks to special teaching methods of teaching Russian and an individual approach, learning becomes interesting and comfortable. Different duration and intensity of classes are offered.

The program of each lesson includes Reading, Writing, and Listening practice. 85% of class time is devoted to developing speaking skills.

In our classes, students together with their teachers and under their control:
· participate in the learning process,
· compare the grammar of the Russian language with the rules of their native language,
· identify the patterns and logic of building Russian speech,
· practice speaking.
Migration Issues
Documents that you must always have with you
1. National passport with a valid visa.
2. A migration card with a mark that the boarder has been crossed.
3. The tear-off part of the notification form on arrival in the Russian Federation with a mark of the local body of the Federal Migration Service on registration for migration registration.

You must present these documents to law enforcement officials (police) every time when checking documents.

Departure from the Russian Federation and its next entry
For visa countries:

If you did not apply for a multiple entry visa and left the Russian Federation, you can enter Russia again only with a new single entry visa. Before departure, you must inform the International Department of Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University about your departure. After entering Russia, you will need to register for an initial migration account, as described in the section "Entering the Russian Federation and registering for primary migration registration".

If you have already issued a multiple-entry visa, then when you return to Russia (for example, after the holidays), you will need to come to the International Department of the University immediately within one working day and submit all the necessary documents for migration registration on the period when the visa is valid.

Documents you need to have with you:
1. Passport.
2. A copy of all pages of an identity document (passport).
3. The original migration card with a mark that the boarder has been crossed.

The loss of passport, arrival notification form or migration card

If you have lost your passport, arrival notification form and / or migration card or if some of the documents was stolen, do not worry, they can be restored.

• If you have lost your passport (or if it has been stolen)
First you should contact the police department and get a certificate that the documents have been lost (stolen).
After that, a new identity document (passport) will be issued to you at the Embassy of your country.
After you receive a new passport, you will need to submit it to the International Department of Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University together with the necessary documents for further visa application and a new form for notification of the arrival of a foreign citizen.

• If you have lost an arrival notification form and / or migration card (or if it has been stolen)
you should contact the International Department of Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University and fill in an application to restore the documents.

Responsibility and punishment for violation of the rules of entry or stay
If you:

• arrived in Russia in violation of the procedure for crossing the state border of the Russian Federation,
• did not register at the place of stay on time,
• did not leave at the end of the permitted period of stay in the Russian Federation,
• work illegally,
• reported inaccurate or false information about yourself when performing migration registration,

then in accordance with Art. 25.10 of Federal Law № 114 "On the Procedure for Departure from the Russian Federation and Entry into the Russian Federation" (1996), you can be found guilty for staying on the territory of the Russian Federation illegally. You bear personal responsibility in accordance with the Code on Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Art.: 18.8.1, 18.8.2, 18.10, 19.27.1). You can get a fine in the amount of up to 5000 rubles.

Entry into the Russian Federation and primary migration registration of foreign students who arrived in Russia in accordance with a visa permit
To enter the Russian Federation you must present a valid document proving your identity, which is recognized by our country as such (usually a passport), and a visa.

The purpose of your visit (training) must correspond to the type of visa issued to you.

When crossing the state border of the Russian Federation, you should receive a migration card form.

All foreign citizens entering our country must be registered with the migration authorities. We will not be able to put you on the migration register unless you present a migration card with a mark from the border control authority on crossing the state border of the Russian Federation.

As soon as you arrived at the University, immediately, within one working day, you need to come:

• to the International Department (4th floor, Office A-411, 42 Pushkin St., Perm) and submit all the necessary documents for registration on the primary migration registration.

After you entered the migration registration, you can stay in the Russian Federation for as long as the single-entry visa issued to you is valid. Without waiting for the end of its validity, you need to extend your stay and apply for a multiple visa 1 month before the end of the previous one.

If you have no reason to extend the period of stay, then you must leave the Russian Federation when the period of stay permitted for you expires.

Multiple entry visa and extension of stay in the Russian Federation
A multiple entry visa and an extension of stay up to 1 year is issued if you have an education contract together with an order for admission to study or transfer to the next year.

To apply for a multiple entry visa and extend your stay, you need to contact the International Department of Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University and provide the following documents:

4. Original visa.
