Program summary (abstract):

The program is aimed at training highly qualified specialists able to speak both English and Russian and provides a depth of comprehensive knowledge in the field of methods of teaching English and Russian.

The program includes: learning English and Russian languages, methods of teaching English and Russian languages, Literature, ICT, History, Psychology, Philosophy, Digital educational tools, Physical training, Pedagogy and other courses.

The program is focused on the development of professional skills in teaching English and Russian and involves the development of abilities to carry out organizational and managerial, scientific and pedagogical activities.

Graduates of the program are trained to work as:

- a foreign language teacher in educational organizations;

- a methodologist of scientific and educational centers for training and retraining of a foreign language teacher;

- a specialist of additional education institutions.

The program is unique in that it involves the use of active and interactive forms of conducting lessons (seminars, discussions, business and role-playing games, trainings, student research and international webinars) in combination with extracurricular activities organized with the use of authentic media resources, e-learning system, a database of global information and communication portals and other features of modern information technologies.

Organization and support of individual educational paths of this program's students is carried out with the use of different multimedia support system for educational courses of the Perm State Humanitarian Pedagogical University.

This program has been specially developed by PSHPU and is aimed at training teachers of various subjects. We pay special attention to approaches to the educational content creating, international educational technologies and the system of educational achievements assessment. The program pays considerable attention to the foreign language as the language of professional communication of international teachers. Graduates of the program become international teachers, ready and able to teach various subjects in schools around the world. The pedagogical practices provided for in the program take place in schools both in Russia and abroad.

The program is aimed at training highly qualified educational specialists with diverse competencies in the field of IT, modern e-learning technologies and the use of artificial intelligence. The uniqueness of the courses lies in the interdisciplinarity and in-depth study of both basic fundamental disciplines in the field of computer science, information technology, programming, web technologies, computer graphics; and disciplines in the field of education. About The Polyglot-Profi Department:

Since 1998, the Polyglot-Profi Department has been providing educational courses at Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University, which implements additional professional education courses, as well as general development courses for studying foreign languages.

Professional retraining courses include the study of general theoretical disciplines, special disciplines of a practical orientation, and practical training. These courses are intended for those who seek to increase their professional competence in the field of foreign languages and get additional qualifications that allow them to combine their special knowledge and translation or pedagogical skills according to professional interests. A diploma of professional retraining is issued to the graduates at the end of the course, which gives the right to start practice according to the qualifications received.

Also, at the Polyglot-Profi branch, everyone is given the opportunity to study foreign languages (English, German, French) based on effective teaching methods. At the end of the course, students receive a certificate confirming the level of foreign language proficiency.

About The German language centre:

The German language centre of Perm State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University is an official partner of the German cultural centre named after Goethe (Moscow) in the field of youth exams.

We are the only certified examination center of Goethe Institute in Perm Krai.

Currently we there are 9 members of teaching staff in our team, three of them are methodologists and animators of the German Cultural Center named after Goethe (Moscow). The center has 5 certified examiners of the Goethe German Cultural Center (Munich, Germany). All teachers are constantly participating in further training courses.

The Polyglot-Profi Educational Center allows learning Russian from the very basis or from any level for those who need conversational skills for education, work or leisure. Studying Russian in a linguistic environment provides a number of undeniable advantages, as it allows you to apply the rules you study and develop communication skills in practice every day.

Classes are taught by teachers with experience in teaching Russian as a foreign language. Thanks to special teaching methods of teaching Russian and an individual approach, learning becomes interesting and comfortable. Different duration and intensity of classes are offered.

The program of each lesson includes Reading, Writing, and Listening practice. 85% of class time is devoted to developing speaking skills.

In our classes, students together with their teachers and under their control:
· participate in the learning process,
· compare the grammar of the Russian language with the rules of their native language,
· identify the patterns and logic of building Russian speech,
· practice speaking.

  • Ai-Petri, Crimea
    Ai-Petri is one of the most famous mountains in Crimea. The suspension bridges stretched across the mountain chain at an altitude of 1,234 meters above the ground are the most frightening and impressive on the peninsula.
  • Altai region
    Mountains, lakes, and green meadows of Altai are often compared with the nature of the Alps. Despite the remoteness, this part of Russia is visited by many foreign tourists.
  • Kazan
    Kazan is a unique place connecting Orthodox and Muslim cultures. The Kazan Kremlin is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Manpupuner Rock Formations
    The Manpupuner Rock Formations is a collection of seven gigantic, oddly-shaped pillars standing up on a flat landscape, with no apparent origin and for no apparent reason. They're like Russia's Stonehenge or its Easter Island Heads.

  • Perm State Art Gallery
    The cultural center of the city. The collection includes about 50 thousand works of art. The most famous exposition is a wooden sculpture, also called "Perm gods."
  • The PERMM Museum of Modern Art
    Is the first and so far the only Russian State Museum of Modern Art outside the central part of the country. The museum is famous for its extravagant exhibitions and a rich collection.
  • Perm Art Residence

  • The House of Gribushin

  • the Planetarium
    One can admire the picturesque view of the "urban jungle" of Perm at the observation deck near the Planetarium. It overlooks the valley of the Egoshikha River, forests within the city, the Perm Gallery and the Kama River.
  • Motovilihinsky Plant
    Motovilihinsky Plant is famous for producing weaponry for the Russian army. The world famous "Tsar Cannon", cast in 1868, artillery and howitzers from the Great Patriotic War were produced there and it still works.
  • Sergey Diagilev
    Sergey Diagilev, a famous and respected person in the sphere of theater and art, lived on the corner of Sibirskaya and Pushkin streets in Perm where he spent his childhood and youth. A famous Perm gymnasium is located there now.
  • Selenite room
    The only selenite room in the world, the new calling card of Perm Krai, was opened in Perm quite recently, but has already managed to attract the attention of the city residents. The author of the project was the famous Perm stone-cutter Anatoly Ivanov.
  • The Perm Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre
    The Perm Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Tchaikovsky is the only theatre in Russia where all the stage works of the great composer were staged. And in a cozy park near the building there is a fountain, restored according to the drawings of the beginning of the last century.
  • Permyak Salty Ears
    The so called "Permyak Salty Ears" is one of the most favourite monuments of people who stay in the city. The name of the monument comes after the traditional nickname of the inhabitants of Perm Krai. According to the legend, it is associated with salt production, widespread in the region.
